NIGHT OWL

It is open to all but you must have the correct hiking clothes and shoes.
If you want to take part but are short of an item let me know
and we will see if there are any that can be borrowed.

Parents must drop off at Leslie Sell Campsite, Bromham.

They should arrive at Bromham and head to the Storm Building between 16:00 and 16:30 hrs

to allow for checking in and safety briefing.

Night Owl is a 6 hour hike with teambuilding activities every  mile or so.
The scouts must wear appropriate clothing or they will not be allowed to hike.

They will get muddy and tired.

I may be able to give a lift home to some in the minibus

-BUT ONLY - if I am asked in advance AND given a note from parents saying I am giving them a lift home 'as a family friend'

I can not as a scout leader give lifts to scouts without following strict guidelines.

 Dear all,
As you are aware, RG Carter in association with Tesco have been undertaking significant improvement works to our scout building this week. They have worked incredibly hard and have managed to transform the interior of the building into a bright and modern space.
It has the WOW factor already but there is more to come
A new floor.

Unfortunately there has been a delay in obtaining the new non-slip floor
that they will be installing so works will not be completed until the end of next week.

As a result we have taken the decision to
cancel the bonfire night event on Thursday 7th November
as we are unlikely to be able to use the building that evening.

I hope that you are able to enjoy bonfire night celebrations elsewhere
and unless you hear otherwise normal beaver, cub and scout meetings will resume w/c 11/11/13.

There are only a few people on the Exec committee and it has taken a lot off effort to make this happen.
Please take a moment to thank them
and in particular  Caroline & Roy (Emma & James' Parents)
& Cecile (Richard & Martin's mum)
who have worked so hard to build the relationship with Tesco's
and have pushed this project every step of the way.

--------------

Our next meeting will be Thursday 14th November Knots and Golf
I have tried to split the groups by lift-shares
